Since 2018, Hoppy Heating and Air has proudly been providing heating and cooling services to the West Lafayette, IN area and surrounding neighborhoods, but under the name Howard hHating and Air. The reason for the rebrand was to better reflect the owner, to help clients remember the name, and still provide the quality workmanship on our heating and air conditioning services.

Meet the Owner: Brandon Howard
I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, graduating from Decatur Central High School in 2011. Shortly after joining the workforce I wanted to better myself and change my life. I enlisted in the United States Navy as Undesignated. I Started out working with Boatswain mates (BM), a lot of grunt work like painting/preservation, knot tying for different events, executing underway replenishments, Standing lookout watches all hours of the day and night.
It was tiring to say the least, but I excelled at it, I earned some of the top qualifications in the BM department, Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat Operator was my favorite of them all though.
I was chosen to become the Honorary Boatswain mate for the Ships chief ceremony in 2013 performing the boatswains pipe in front of around 400 people. Around June 2014, I was on a small boat operations mission with another operator that had an injured passenger, I was ordered to go ahead and go back to the ship. When arriving to the ship I was notified that I was no longer going to be working in that department, that I was now working as an engineer (Machinist Mate or MM), I was devastated to say the least but I saw a new opportunity to learn things I knew nothing about.
From 2014-2016 my job was to fix/maintain the ships AC/ Refrigeration systems along with many other things. As I approached my separation from the USN in July 2016. I enrolled myself in a college full time to study heating and air conditioning and worked in the residential/commercial HVAC industry. In 2018 I opened my own residential/ light commercial heating and air conditioning company in Crawfordsville, Indiana that was later relocated to West Lafayette, Indiana. My vision for the company is to create life long relationships with clients and future employees.
